Porsche continues its humanitarian commitment at the Le Mans 24 Hours
This year, the German brand is renewing its Racing for Charity program. For every lap completed by a Porsche hypercar, €500 will be donated to two foundations.

The hashtag #RacingForCharity will once again appear on the Porsche 963. Since 2023 and the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the hypercars from the Stuttgart brand have been participating in a double race: one for victory and one for donations.
For the third year, Porsche is relaunching its Racing for Charity program. The goal is simple: the company selects one of the 963 and each lap it completes raises €500. The total amount will be donated to two charities that help children: Interplast Germany e.V. and Kinderherzen retten e.V. Over the past two years, the Racing for Charity initiative has raised €1,822,000.
An award given by the ACO
In recognition of this commitment, the German manufacturer received an award from the ACO, the organizer of Le Mans, in 2023. « If our sport can help people in need or the sick, especially children, we do not hesitate for a moment. This has always been part of Porsche’s philosophy. The amount of donations increases with every lap at Le Mans. It’s a very special motivation for us », says Thomas Laudenbach, vice-president of Porsche Motorsport.
The organization Kinderherzen retten e.V. transports children and adolescents with congenital heart defects from developing countries to Germany so they can undergo life-saving surgeries at the University Hospital of Freiburg.
The association Interplast Germany e.V. has been active for 45 years, providing medical assistance in developing countries and crisis regions. The association performs plastic surgery operations on site for patients with congenital malformations, soft tissue defects following tumor removal, complex injuries, and burns. During these missions, up to 100 children can benefit from life-changing surgeries.
