24 Heures du Mans – Race: A crazy start for Porsche
Porsche took control of the race on the very first lap. The two Cadillacs followed the n°5. The brand's other two cars were exceptional.
She was hungry. The Porsche #5 made an incredible start. Very aggressive at the start, the car from the Stuttgart brand left behind the two Cadillacs, which were monopolizing the front row on the Hunaudières straight.
Just behind, the #4 was putting pressure on the American cars. The #6, which started in last place in the Hypercar category, climbed to 13th place in just ten minutes. The Aston Martins quickly suffered from a lack of performance. The #007 and #009 were at the back of the field by the end of the first lap.
A rare event: no accidents occurred in the first corners. The TDS Racing LMP2 also had an incredible start. Mathias Beche was four seconds ahead of the AO by TF car. Incredible.
In GT3, the hierarchy hasn’t really changed at the front. Only Maxime Martin in the Mercedes #61 gained a position. He was third.
