Under particularly challenging conditions, with heavy rain at Silverstone and a portion of the race taking place behind the Safety Car, the accident occurred as the race resumed, approaching the Copse corner.

An impressive collision

The collision between Kimi Antonelli and Isack Hadjar during the 2025 British Grand Prix marked a dramatic turning point in the race. On a Silverstone circuit made particularly slippery by heavy rain, visibility was extremely reduced due to the spray caused by the single-seaters.

Isack Hadjar found himself in trouble in the Copse corner area. Under the heavy spray of water, he couldn’t see the Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli ahead of him in time. This led to a collision where Isack Hadjar crashed into the rear of Kimi Antonelli’s W16, causing the immediate retirement of the French driver.

This incident illustrates how capricious weather and low visibility can make races particularly perilous, even for experienced drivers. Kimi Antonelli managed to continue, while Isack Hadjar had to prematurely end his race due to the crash.
