6 Hours of Sao Paulo – Free Practice 2: Porsche does it again and sees double
After dominating the first free practice session, Porsche placed its two hypercars at the head of the second session.

We take the same ones and start over. After finishing at the top of the timesheet in the first session, the #6 Porsche did it again in the second session (1’23″508). Unlike the morning session, the German car was not followed by the Ferrari but by the other Porsche from Penske. However, BMW played its part with the third reference time, this time with the #15.
The Aston Martins seem to be at ease on the Brazilian track because, after this hour and a half of racing, both Valkyries were in the top 10: 5th for the #007 (1’24″006) and 8th for the #009 (1’24″118). Since the start of the season, they have never been so well placed.
The French teams were more withdrawn this time. No Alpine or Peugeot made it into the top half of the standings. The same goes for Ferrari, which had to settle for 10th place with the #50.
In GT3, Racing Spirit of Léman came with big ambitions, as evidenced by the best time from the Aston Martin #10 after the fourth benchmark earlier in the day. Naturally, the two Akkodis cars were following.
It should also be noted an improvement in the Porsches in this category, even though they remain far from the top three. The Iron Dames finished 11th, more than a second behind, and the #92 from Manthey, three positions further back.
In both categories, an initial hierarchy is emerging. But be careful, the cards can still be reshuffled tomorrow, especially for the qualifications. In GT3, don’t forget, it’s the bronze drivers who complete the first part of the session.
