Why will Yuki Tsunoda start from the pits for the Hungarian Grand Prix?
The Japanese driver will have to start from the pit lane this Sunday, August 3, for the Hungarian Grand Prix. There will be just nineteen drivers on the grid.

For once, the weekend seemed at least somewhat decent for Yuki Tsunoda. Although his position after qualifying was quite average, the Japanese driver has never been this close to Max Verstappen since the start of the season concerning the fast lap performance.
But it doesn’t matter since the Red Bull driver will have to start from the pit lane. Two hours before the lights go out, the FIA announced that the Japanese driver would be benefiting from new engine elements on his car: fifth turbo, fifth engine, fifth MGU-H, and fifth MGU-K.
All these modifications were carried out under Parc Fermé conditions and these parts exceed the quota set by the regulations. This explains his penalty. This will therefore benefit Alex Albon, Nico Hülkenberg, Esteban Ocon, and Pierre Gasly, who will each gain a position on the grid.
