Mick Schumacher at Cadillac: a growing rumor
The German, currently a world championship driver with Alpine, is said to be increasingly close to Cadillac. He could be offered a double program.

For a year and a half, numerous rumors have suggested a return of Mick Schumacher to Formula 1. The German has never hidden his desire to return to the premier category of motorsport. Even though he is currently working wonders with Alpine in the World Endurance Championship, Michael’s son might be tempted to give it a try.
As Cadillac will join the grid next year, new rumors suggest a connection between the driver and the American team. The former Haas F1 driver could return to single-seaters, but according to The Race, he would only have a reserve seat.
This situation would allow him to benefit from a dual program and remain in the World Endurance Championship while he finds a permanent seat. The only problem is that Alpine, his current employer, and Cadillac are rival entities both competing in the WEC and soon in Formula 1.
If he were to join Cadillac, Mick Schumacher would probably have to leave the brand with the arrow for an entirely new American adventure.
But would this solution be sustainable and stable for the son of the seven-time world champion? Even though we have seen drivers perform well after a return to Formula 1, one must first secure a full-time seat. And at his age, 26, spending a year on the sidelines could be detrimental to him.
The German is currently performing well with the A424 in WEC, notably securing two podiums this season: in Imola and then in Spa, where victory was within reach.
