Alpine in IMSA? “In 2025, anything is possible.”
Alpine presented its Hypercar for the 2024 season, this Friday, June 9th. While the French team is focusing on the World Endurance Championship, a new chapter could also be written in the United States.

Alpine has unveiled a huge gem. A 675 horsepower Hypercar powered by a 3.4-liter V6 engine. It comes from a well-known base at Mécachrome, on which we have worked on reliability. It’s a straightforward base, explains Alpine’s Executive Director, Bruno Famin.
Alpine has relied on Oreca for the manufacturing of the chassis. The two entities have been working together since 2013 and the return of the Blues in LMP2. « We are working on many other projects with them. » The good performance of this chassis with Acura, on the other side of the Atlantic, gives confidence to Alpine’s executives.
Working with the Formula 1 team
The French team will also draw on Formula 1 experience to develop the A424_β. Working on F1, it brings us », says Bruno Famin. But the executive director of Alpine ensures that the dual program will not prevent the brand from shining in both categories. We are convinced that we can make the Hypercar at a high level to compete for victory while staying within reasonable budgets.
