Charles Milesi: If we achieve a good result here, the season will be successful
The French team expects to fight with the leaders of the LMP2 championship at Le Mans. A good result in Sarthe would allow Alpine to approach the end of the championship with more confidence.

He is a regular in the LMP2 category. Charles Milesi is competing for the fourth time in this category, the second under the Signatech-Alpine umbrella. The French team has stepped down a category before returning to the Hypercar next year. The start of the season in P2 has been challenging for the French, but things seem to be improving at Le Mans.
« We had a good test day, finishing 3rd and 4th. It’s quite positive. We know we’re not far behind. We’ll have to be reactive, says Charles Milesi. The native of Chaumont, in Haute-Marne, believes he will be able to compete with the best teams on the grid. « We will fight with Prema and United. All the teams are close to each other. Many can fight for the victory.
A good result in Le Mans, a successful season for Alpine.
To ensure a good result, Alpine will try to secure a spot in the hyperpole (the top eight in each category). However, the objective is not performance during the fast lap exercise. The team is focusing on the race. If we see that reaching the top 3 is complicated, we won’t push like crazy for a tenth.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans could be disrupted by uncertain weather. Rain is forecasted for the end of the week. This situation could shake things up and disrupt the hierarchy. « I don’t think we will have a full race in the rain, but we could have showers in certain parts of the circuit. It’s a challenge. We shouldn’t do anything reckless », warns Charles Milesi.
The race strategy is far from established, but the Frenchman expects to mainly drive at night with Matthieu Vaxiviere. The two men, along with their teammate, Julien Canal, are counting on this race. If we achieve a good result here, the season will be a success.
