Binance, partner of Alpine, being sued in the United States
The cryptocurrency platform, sponsor of the Alpine F1 team, is being sued by a government watchdog in the United States.

Binance, sponsor of Alpine, is being pursued by a federal government watchdog in the United States due to alleged financial irregularities.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange and its CEO Changpeng Zhao are accused of blatant disregard for federal law, according to a complaint filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
In the complaint, it is alleged that Binance and Zhao enriched themselves with billions of US dollars while exposing investors’ assets to significant risk. The company Binance is also said to have mixed and misused investors’ assets.
A spokesperson for Binance explained that the SEC’s complaint was unjustified and should not be subject to SEC enforcement action, but that the allegations were taken seriously.
Alpine had signed a multi-year partnership with Binance in early 2022 to act as a Fan Token and esports partner. The partnership with Alpine allowed members to meet the team’s drivers or even participate in rally car test days.
