Despite a tumultuous start, notably marked by Fittipaldi’s excursion through the escape route, Oliver Bearman manages to hold onto the lead of the race. Théo Pourchaire delivers a strong performance at the beginning of the race by taking hold of third place. Behind them, there is movement as Doohan, Iwasa, and Hauger battle it out. Once again, Hadjar is unlucky and has to retire at the end of the first lap.

While Frederick Vesti, the leader of the championship, is stuck in the pack, Bearman is managing the race from the front and building his lead.

Théo Pourchaire dives into the pit lane on the 10th lap, maybe a bit too quickly as he locks his wheels for a long time. Fittipaldi does the same on the next lap. Bearman does not immediately cover his opponents and continues to impose a fast pace on worn tires. He stops at the end of the 14th lap.

When he rejoins the track, Enzo Fittipaldi takes advantage of the British driver’s cold tires to catch up. Bearman manages the traffic perfectly while Fittipaldi’s difficulties allow Théo Pourchaire to close in on the Brazilian. But the French driver makes a mistake on Kush Maini and loses 2 positions to Iwasa and Doohan.

Battles at the end of the race

At the halfway point, Martins and Vesti, on a different strategy, continue to push to make their tire choice work. Vesti dives into the pit lane on the 25th lap and Martins switches to the soft tires on the following lap. Both drivers will benefit from a much better pace than those on hard tires. Martins comes out ahead of his teammate Théo Pourchaire. Behind them, Vesti is also quickly making his way up and overtakes Pourchaire, his direct championship rival.

Martins and Vesti go after Oliver Bearman in the last 10 laps. But the British driver is too fast. A battle for the podium is unfolding between Vesti, Martins, and Iwasa. In the end, Victor Martins manages to overtake Iwasa and secure a spot on the podium. Vesti finishes 5th behind Iwasa. Enzo Fittipaldi takes 2nd place, once again showcasing his racing skills.

Bearman asserts himself as the master in Spain after a flawless race. With this 3rd victory, he climbs back to 4th place in the championship. The machine is definitely launched.

As for Pourchaire, he finishes 7th and loses valuable points to Vesti.
