More information about F1 23
F1 23 has revealed more information about its story mode, but especially about the F1 World mode, which aims to be the equivalent of FIFA's Ultimate Team mode.

Braking Point 2
As often in F1 history modes, the storyline spans over 2 seasons. The 2022 season serves as an anchor point to introduce Callie Mayer. After dominating F2 in 2022, she establishes herself as a serious contender for a seat in 2023 at Konnersport, the fictional F1 23 team.
Thanks to the new generation consoles, Codemasters have been able to improve the graphic quality of the cinematics in order to make them more realistic and immersive. We can thus notice a better 3D rendering of the characters and more detailed textures.
Throughout the story, the player will unlock rewards based on their performance after each challenge. In order to make the progression more individual, the choices made by the player in interviews in the press or within their team will have an impact on their journey. This will include varying race objectives and slight changes in the story’s progression.
Those who pre-order the game will also be able to use Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler in the “My Team” mode. It is also possible to see in the video that Kamui Kobayashi and Pastor Maldonado have been added to the game. These two new icons can be chosen as teammates in the “My Team” mode. It has also been announced that Nigel Mansell and Jamie Chadwick have been added to a constantly growing roster.
F1 World
This video was mainly an opportunity to learn more about the “F1 World” mode, which had remained relatively abstract until now. This aspect of the game is presented as a hub that allows the player to participate in daily or weekly challenges in order to acquire rewards. As the player wins more challenges, they gain more experience in “Tech Level,” which allows them to upgrade their car and participate in more challenging challenges.
Challenges can be accomplished both in solo and multiplayer. Rewards are not only meant to improve the car but also benefit the entire team. As a result, the ultimate goal is to recruit the best individuals for each position: team manager, strategist, and research and development manager. In this game mode, sponsors are ranked. Each brand brings different and more or less appealing bonuses.
It is also possible to notice in the video that the challenges are distributed geographically. Each circuit being the host of different challenges such as time trials with supercars or a Grand Prix with Formula 1 cars.
The other way to keep the player interested is through the addition of collectible items. In F1 23, this is materialized by the addition of a compendium, a sticker album.

New multiplayer
”
The F1 divisions have been revamped to now promote the top players from each group at the end of the week. This system bears a resemblance to the one in place in many FPS games. The latter encourages players to play the game more, fearing a drop in rankings. This new system also introduces the addition of an overall player ranking. The advantage of reaching higher divisions is an experience boost in the “podium pass” and more enticing rewards.
