Monaco Grand Prix: Tips to see the F1
Monaco is a prestigious place for F1, but also a Grand Prix where prices are sometimes very high. While many dream of attending the race in the streets of the principality, we reveal to you some good deals that, hopefully, will allow you to observe the F1 cars between the rails.

In recent years, the prices of a weekend in Monaco to attend the Grand Prix have skyrocketed. Stars parade through the paddock and the increasingly numerous VIP areas, while countless fans desperately seek to catch a glimpse of the F1 cars.
The Rock area
This area, although situated at a higher level and further away from the other stands, offers a breathtaking view of a section of the circuit and, above all, reasonable prices (nothing is free in Monaco). A standing-only area, it will certainly require a little courage to endure a whole day, but it’s definitely worth it. To attend the Friday or Saturday session, for example, expect to pay between 70 and 80€ (if the area isn’t already fully booked). For this area on the Rock, it’s obviously necessary to book tickets as soon as they become available. That’s how you’ll take advantage of the best prices.
Priority given to Friday and Saturday
Of course, if you want to experience the atmosphere of Monaco without having to call your banker, you can go to the circuit only on Friday or Saturday, which are cheaper than Sunday. However, it’s still over 200€ for Saturday. Granted, you won’t get to enjoy the Grand Prix, but you will have a unique experience in the streets of the principality. You will witness the free practice sessions and the qualifying rounds, moments when the F1 cars reach crazy speeds between the barriers. Thrills guaranteed. Lastly, don’t underestimate Thursday where you might have the chance to stroll through the pit lane and get close to the cars and even some drivers. Additionally, you will see the F2 and F3 cars in the streets on Thursday, a unique feature of the Monaco race weekend.
Enjoy the restaurants and cafés.
One of the other solutions in Monaco is to try to join a well-placed terrace of a restaurant or café. Near the Casino, you can go to the Bar Américain to enjoy a view of the intense turns just before the Fairmont hairpin. Alternatively, at the other end of the circuit, try to get a table at La Rascasse bar. From there, you can enjoy the terrace overlooking the corner of the same name and perhaps witness daring overtakes like Charles Leclerc on Romain Grosjean in 2019. Finally, discover the gardens of the legendary Buddha-Bar where you can enjoy a chic brunch while keeping your eyes glued to the giant screens, surrounded by fans.
To attend the Monaco Grand Prix, it is therefore necessary to carefully choose your days, your location, and above all, to plan ahead in order to take advantage of the best prices. The list of possibilities is extensive. Perhaps you know someone who lives there and could offer you their balcony for a few hours?
