Lewis Hamilton open to the idea of racing in IndyCar or NASCAR
The seven-time champion has not ruled out the possibility of competing in another series other than Formula 1, even though his first desire is to continue winning in this category.

Lewis Hamilton said that he would be willing to race in NASCAR or IndyCar, while reaffirming his desire to stay in Formula 1, a discipline he has been a part of since 2007.
Hamilton’s contract with Mercedes expires at the end of the 2023 season, and as there is no guarantee that he will sign a new contract, speculations about his future have begun as he seeks to win his eighth world title.
However, the British expressed his desire to continue racing in Grand Prix, but would like to become familiar with the machines used in IndyCar, while not excluding NASCAR. « I did a car exchange with Tony Stewart a few years ago, which was fun », he explained. « I would love to try NASCAR at some point. It’s not a dream for me to race in another series, but I am an admirer, a fan of racing and other sports. So I would like to give it a try ».
The Mercedes driver has already had the opportunity to also try out a MotoGP bike and exchange with Valentino Rossi, seven-time world champion in the premier motorcycle category: “an incredible chance,” he exclaims.
If Hamilton were to participate in one of these competitions, he would not be the first Formula 1 driver to make the move, like Nelson Piquet Jr, Scott Speed in NASCAR, or Marcus Ericsson and Romain Grosjean in IndyCar.
