Théo Pourchaire takes back the lead in the drivers’ championship
After the fourth race in Azerbaijan this weekend and Oliver Bearman's outstanding performance, the category rankings were all shaken up.

Almost a month after the last race weekend, Formula 2 returned to the streets of Baku for the championship. The races were quite eventful and the driver standings were able to change. At the top of the championship, Théo Pourchaire now has 65 points and regains the lead from Ayumu Iwasa. The Japanese driver didn’t score any points this weekend, making it his first race without points. The DAMS driver drops to third in the standings behind Frederik Vesti, with 62 points, who collected 20 points from Azerbaijan.
Bearman climbs up the rankings
In fourth position, we find the weekend man. First in both races, Oliver Bearman hit the jackpot and made the right move this week. While he had only scored three points in the previous three rounds, the British driver now stands at 41 points, tied with Indian driver Arjun Maini.
The three Frenchmen accompanying Théo Pourchaire are struggling more. Isack Hadjar, the protege of the Red Bull Junior Team, is fourteenth and has to settle for a few points per weekend. He has 18 points, ahead of his compatriot and reigning F3 champion, Victor Martins.
Teammate of Théo Pourchaire, Victor Martins delivers impressive performances behind the wheel of his ART GP single-seater. However, mistakes or race incidents have cost him too many points. He leaves Azerbaijan without scoring any points, for the second weekend in a row. Finally, Clément Novalak has only earned two small points and is currently in 18th place.
In the team standings, Prema takes back the lead from the French team DAMS. The Italian team, led by the great Oliver Bearman, was able to score 58 points, compared to only one for DAMS. The other French team, ART GP, completes the podium.
