We knew Charles Leclerc, the Formula 1 driver. We now know Charles Leclerc, the musician. Since last Thursday, the track AUS23 (1:1) is available on streaming platforms such as Deezer or Spotify. The Scuderia Ferrari driver expected this news to create a bit of buzz, as it is not very common for a Formula 1 driver to release a song, he confesses to the Formula 1 media.

For the author of this sweet and melancholic piece, « this is a nice connection with the world of racing ». The choice of the music title, « AUS23 », refers to the Australian Grand Prix as he produced this piece alongside the third race of the season.

He still admits to having received help from some friends: They helped me to release it on platforms and to handle the administrative work, which is the longest part. Anyway, it is on his own that Charles Leclerc composed his first single. The single has already been listened to over 1.5 million times on the streaming platform Spotify, even though it was only released on April 25th.

A few weeks ago, the Monégasque notably took part in an intimate show on Canal where he improvised a piece. He explained that he had started playing the piano during the first lockdown and had developed a taste for it ever since.
