Günther Steiner opens the door to a return of Daniel Ricciardo on the grid
The boss of Haas F1 has stated that he is ready to recruit the Australian driver for next season, depending on the performances of his current drivers.

Current third driver for Red Bull, Daniel Ricciardo doesn’t hide the fact that a return as a regular on the starting grid is something that has been itching at him. Very popular among F1 fans, the Perth native intends to find a seat among the ten teams in the top category of motorsport.
Last year, after his departure from McLaren, where he had spent two seasons, Ricciardo’s name had been linked to the Haas F1 team to replace Mick Schumacher. According to Steiner, the team’s financial demands were too high, so the American team ultimately turned to Nico Hülkenberg.
Recently questioned about its future lineup, the Italian leader took the opportunity to put pressure on its pilots: “Let’s see how things go with our two pilots. But maybe at some point, I will have to discuss with Daniel, but I can’t promise anything, especially if our drivers are performing well.”
To conclude, Steiner reminds us that the season has just begun: « For now, we have a new driver this year and have only completed three races. So I have to give him a chance. »
Nico Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen know what they need to do to keep their seat for an additional season.
