Verstappen receives a fine for speeding in the pit lane
At the end of the first free practice session, Max Verstappen was fined by the FIA for speeding in the pit lane.

After the first free practice session, Max Verstappen was fined €700 for speeding in the pit lane. The Red Bull driver was caught going 86.4 km/h in the pit lane instead of the 80 km/h limit. In its statement, the FIA specifies that this violation constitutes a breach of Article 34.7 of the FIA Sporting Regulations. However, the Dutch driver will not receive a grid penalty.
