After the missed Bahrain Grand Prix for Ferrari, Italian media reported tensions at Maranello. Charles Leclerc assures that these claims are completely false. « It’s quite sad to see how many rumors there have been in recent weeks, especially since they are absolutely unfounded. I went to Maranello, I know that everyone is pushing in the right direction and that’s the most important thing for me, » he declares to Canal+.

Did he meet John Elkann, president of Ferrari? « Not at all. I don’t know where that came from. There are people trying to destabilize us, but luckily it’s not working, » responds the vice-world champion.

Everything is fine at Ferrari

The Monegasque asserts that a meeting with the whole team took place and appears to have been beneficial. He emphasizes that everyone remains positive and motivated despite this disappointing first Grand Prix.

“We had a meeting with the whole team, with all the Ferrari employees, and I was really surprised. Everyone is really passionate about the subject and remains positive, which is great,” Leclerc rejoices in an interview with British media ESPN. “We all have to push in the same direction. That’s the most important thing for me,” the driver emphasizes.

His teammate, Carlos Sainz, can only confirm these statements: “It’s much better than what the news suggests,” he says. The Spaniard also denounces the attempts of certain media outlets to destabilize.

I can tell you that what we need to improve, how we need to do it, is so clear to us that I am actually very surprised by the way some people have tried to undermine the team.
