The Mercedes elected as the most beautiful livery by F1 fans
A few days before the first Grand Prix of the season, F1 fans have designated George Russell and Lewis Hamilton's car as the one displaying the most beautiful livery.
First title for Mercedes this season! Although it’s not official, it will please the members of the world champion team from 2014 to 2021. The team of the star brand has indeed won the title of the best livery for its 2023 race car.
As all the teams are preparing for the new season, the official F1 website questioned fans to find out what they thought about the designs of the new single-seaters.
In third position with 15% of the votes is Alfa Romeo. The Italo-Swiss team has abandoned the white, present since its return in 2018, for black, giving a more aggressive look to its race car. This new color, combined with the brand’s historic red, integrates perfectly on the new car developed in Hinwill.
In second place, we find the other Italian team from the grid. Ferrari has often given birth to beautiful racing cars. This year, in addition to delighting fans with a sensational presentation at Fiorano, the Prancing Horse brand has slightly lightened its livery and above all integrated the brand’s name on the rear wing, using the historical lettering style of its name. Ferrari thus obtained 19% of the votes.
On the top step of the podium with 31% of the votes is Mercedes. The German team has returned to a black livery this season, just like in 2020 and 2021. Toto Wolff justified this choice by stating that black is now part of the team’s DNA and that it helps reduce weight. The W14 is black with green accents on the sides, and the letters of its main sponsors are written in white. All of this creates a beautiful harmony on the Brackley car.
Let’s hope for these three teams that the performances on the track of their racecars will be as good as their liveries are beautiful!
