George Russell hopes for a more reasonable calendar in F1
George Russell, director of the GPDA, affirms that discussions are taking place with Formula 1 regarding the calendar in order to make it more sustainable.

The 2023 calendar features a record number of 23 races that will take place between March and the end of November. The season will open on March 5th in Bahrain and will conclude in Abu Dhabi on November 26th. In the future, this intense schedule, which does not please everyone, could be modified to make it more sustainable.
George Russell spoke on the subject, affirming that good discussions had taken place with F1.
« I think we have had good conversations with Formula 1 about the future and the possibility of making things a little more sustainable, not only for the drivers but also for everyone on this roller coaster,” he told the media.
The Mercedes driver particularly questions the fatigue associated with constant traveling.
« With the team that I have around me, we are really focused on the issue of human performance. It’s something that we are trying to implement more within the group that surrounds us because these time differences are so drastic for some of the races, and just the length of the flights, no matter how you travel, it really exhausts you. We are reaching a point where people are feeling the effects. »
