Mercedes announces a paint manufacturer as a new sponsor in F1
Mercedes announced this Thursday, in a statement, its partnership with the paint and coatings manufacturer, Sherwin-Williams Company.

The Mercedes-EQ Formula E team, two-time world champion, has already been collaborating with the American company since 2021. The success of this partnership has led Mercedes to also entrust them with the painting of their F1 cars.
The team and Sherwin-Williams have common objectives of reconciling the aerodynamic and weight criteria of a Formula 1 car’s paint, while creating a harmonious design.
“We are delighted to support the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team in this new partnership, and we are confident that our 150-year history of quality and innovation will continue to be an asset to the performance of their car on and off the track,” said Brian Gallagher, President and CEO of Sherwin-Williams’ Automotive Finishes Division.
« We have a common commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability, which makes for a natural partnership. Their reputation for excellence in the global automotive finishing industry is unmatched, and we look forward to working together in 2023 and beyond,” announced Richard Sanders, Sales Director of Mercedes.
The photos in the statement suggest the use of electric blue, just like in the previous season, as well as red and grey.
