Gulf plans a full livery for the Williams
While teams are reluctant to unveil their actual car before the tests or simply because they are not fully ready, Williams took advantage of this to announce its new multi-year partnership with Gulf.
On Monday, Williams unveiled its (new) colors for the 2023 season, along with its new partners, including Gulf company.
After a first collaboration with McLaren that had seen a special livery dedicated to the oil company, Gulf CEO Mike Jones was asked if a special livery for Williams is being considered for the 2023 season, he replied: “Of course, everything we will do in the future should be even bigger and better than before.”
We have many Gulf fans around the world, we receive a lot of requests for a special livery, and we want our livery to be special.
We are going to launch a number of plans focused on the fans, and we always believe that Gulf is a brand supported by the fans. We really want our fans to be a part of it. So, of course, we are considering different solutions for this and will launch our plans in the near future.
A partnership that will gain momentum.
The Sales Director at Williams, James Bower, confirms the desire to go further and increase collaboration with Gulf during the 2023 season.
“We have agreed on a presence that will last the entire season. We believe it will be very effective,” commented Bower. “You can think of certain key moments in a race like fuel refueling [which has not been allowed in F1 for many years, editor’s note], which is related to partnership and the pit crew team and some other components.”
