Alesi’s Ferrari sold at auction for 3.6 million euros
The auction of the Sotheby's house took place on February 1st at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Several cars, among the most beautiful in the world, were up for sale, including Jean Alesi's Ferrari 643.

The sale, which takes place alongside the Rétromobile exhibition, is organized every year in the capital. This year, the exhibition was open to the general public for free on January 31st, before the auction on February 1st.
The Ferrari 643 chassis No. 127 was listed among the 98 lots for sale and was sold at an exceptional price of over 3.6 million euros, while estimates ranged from 2.9 to 3.4 million euros.
This single-seater was introduced in F1 for the second half of the 1991 season. With it, the French driver achieved a fourth place at Castellet but had to retire at Silverstone after a collision. This car was used one last time at the end of the year by Gianni Morbidelli, in Australia.
If the Italian stable didn’t win anything with it, the 643 is still considered one of the most beautiful cars in the history of F1.
