Due to the heat inside the cars and the extreme concentration that the drivers must maintain, their bodies are put to the test in every race. Indeed, between trips, media obligations, and Grand Prix weekends, it’s difficult to find the time to continue such intense training, yet it’s very important to maintain a perfect physical condition.

« I think I’ve matured, every season in F1 you learn things and there are small improvements every year. It’s the victory that motivates me to continue preparing myself physically. » explains Charles Leclerc.

Two rooms, two atmospheres at Mercedes as we were able to see Lewis Hamilton on a training stage in Antarctica, while George Russell was at Barkley to prepare for the 2023 season at the factory.

The new kid in the paddock, Logan Sargeant, has also completed a training camp in Portugal. “I train as hard as possible,” he confides in a video published by his team.

Pierre Gasly confirms that the work is intense on the neck, back, and arms. He explains in particular that certain circuits are much more physically demanding than others. There is notably fatigue that sets in over the course of laps in Monaco or in certain urban circuits.
