Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel to join forces at Race of Champions
The two long-time friends will be taking part in the race together, which takes place in Sweden from January 28 to 29.

Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel will once again compete together at the Race of Champions, which takes place from January 28th to 29th, for the German team. This was announced on Wednesday by the race organizers, who will hold the event for the second consecutive year at Pite Havsbad in Sweden, on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea.
It will be the two drivers’ first race since they left their seats as full-time drivers in F1. Mick Schumacher was pushed out of Haas and will serve as a reserve driver at Mercedes next year, while Sebastian Vettel has put an end to his long and prolific career in Formula 1.
“It’s great to be back at the Race of Champions and to see all the drivers again,” said Mick Schumacher. “It’s even better that Sebastian is also taking part, so that the German team can hopefully continue the tradition of fighting for the title in the Race of Champions’ Nations Cup.”
With his close friend Sebastian Vettel, Mick Schumacher made his debut at the ROC in Mexico in 2019 and qualified for the final of the ROC Nations Cup. The two drivers competed together again at the beginning of last year.
After Vettel and Michael Schumacher, Mick’s father, teamed up to win six championships, the German team is now vying for their ninth Nations Cup. Vettel also won a championship solo in Miami. Last year, it was the French rally legend Sébastien Loeb who clinched the victory.
