It is a destination that is increasingly appealing. Since Liberty Media’s arrival in F1, the United States has become one of the targets for broadcasters. Present first in Austin, the sport has also made its way to Miami and will join Las Vegas next year.

The number of spectators in the stands has also experienced exponential growth. Despite a year of absence due to the health crisis, the Circuit of the Americas was filled to capacity upon its return to the calendar in 2021. 400,000 people had passed through the gates of the sports venue. It was unprecedented at the time.

For the 2022 edition, the counters went crazy. According to the figures released by F1 during the warm-up lap, 440,000 spectators gathered around the Texan track. An increase of 10% compared to last year.

These figures show the growing interest of this country in the sport, most likely boosted by the Netflix series, Drive to Survive. Social media and the presence of American celebrities on site must also contribute to this success.
