Mexico is getting ready to host the Formula 1 this week for the twentieth race of the season. The excitement is expected to be present along the 4.304-kilometer track where local hero Sergio Perez will proudly parade behind the wheel of his freshly crowned world champion Red Bull.

This festive atmosphere could however be marked by humid conditions, especially at the beginning of the weekend. According to The Weather Channel, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are expected as early as the Wednesday before the race, as well as on Thursday, which is dedicated to press conferences for drivers and team managers.

For the Friday practice sessions, the weather forecast is predicting a partly cloudy sky and temperatures that can reach up to 27 degrees. However, there will still be a slight chance of rain with a 23% probability.

Saturday is expected to be the most risky day in terms of weather. Despite temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius, the chances of rain will increase to 50% in the afternoon during the qualifying session.

Finally, the race should take place under mild conditions with a 31% chance of rain. For this Sunday, the morning sun could give way to threatening clouds, which could lead teams to adapt their strategies according to the evolution of the sky.
