A new position of Chief Executive Officer created within the FIA
The new president of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, wanted a new position by his side. Therefore, he appointed a general manager in the person of Natalie Robyn. The first to hold this position.

It was one of the desires of the new president of the FIA. To have someone by his side to be able to manage the international bodies of Formula 1. The role of general manager was created from scratch and Natalie Robyn was appointed to the position.
A call for applications had been launched last April. A decision that took some time to materialize as the president wanted to do things right. The missions of the general director are very clear: « Stabilize the finances of the FIA, streamline governance structures and operational processes, and develop leadership capabilities to support the diversification and growth of future sources of income. »
Natalie Robyn arrives with some baggage. She has been working in the automotive and finance industry for 15 years now. The companies that have seen her come and go are no small ones. Volvo, Nissan, and DaimlerChrysler have had the privilege of having Natalie Robyn work for them.
The president did not wait to justify this choice and praise the general director who will take office shortly.
Her extensive experience and leadership will be essential in improving our finances, governance, and operations. She has proven herself in diversification and growth, as well as in developing executive leadership capabilities, which will be an extremely valuable asset for the FIA and our members. I welcome her to the team.
The director will have to oversee the proper functioning of the FIA’s economy, but also showcase the presidency’s vision for the future of the FIA.
The first CEO is enthusiastic about the role entrusted to her and is eager to start her work.
I am delighted to be nominated to become the very first Chief Executive Officer of the FIA, in such an important period for the federation. I am excited to work with the members, the management team, and the president to actualize their reformist vision and drive growth with the involvement of all staff.
