After his 5 in a row, Verstappen can aim for even more records this season
With a 5th consecutive victory at the Italian Grand Prix, Verstappen could try to break another record. It is the record for the most consecutive Grand Prix wins, currently held by Vettel with his 9 consecutive victories. Another record that could fall is the record for the most wins in a season.

Verstappen is among the greats and could become even greater. For several years, he has been breaking more and more records. He holds the record for being the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix, the youngest to participate in a Grand Prix, and the youngest to achieve a podium finish.
Two new records could be added during the current season. One will be easier to achieve than the other.
The number of victories in one season.
The “easiest” is the number of wins in a single season. The record is held by Schumacher (2004) and Vettel (2013) with 13 wins each. Although the number of races is higher than for Vettel and Schumacher, Verstappen has a chance to inscribe his name on this record.
With 11 victories already under his belt this season, only 2 more are missing for the Dutchman to join the two drivers. There are 6 Grand Prix remaining for Verstappen to try and break this record.
The number of consecutive victories.
The second record is much more difficult to achieve. It’s about the number of consecutive victories. It is held by Vettel, who won 9 Grand Prix in a row during the 2013 season.
At the moment, Verstappen is on a streak of 5 consecutive victories. He is catching up to Hamilton, who has achieved this twice in his career.
He could equal several drivers with 7 consecutive wins at the Japanese Grand Prix, namely Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, and Alberto Ascari.
It is during the Mexican Grand Prix that he would be tied with Vettel, and it is in Brazil that he could overtake him. But for that, he will have to be unwavering and not leave anything to the other drivers. They will try by all means to win one of the last Grand Prix races to finish this championship on a high note.
