Very interesting qualifications today at the Monza Autodrome!

All drivers were on the track in the last minute to set their fastest time after their first stint.

Unfortunately, Ayumu Iwasa, who had set the best first sector, made the same mistake as his Red Bull Junior Team colleague, Isack Hadjar, earlier in the Formula 3 qualifying session. The Japanese driver from Dams saw his car slip away from him. Unfortunately, he hit the wall at the parabolica. Yellow flag, end of the session for all drivers.

Some drivers improved their lap times under yellow flags (Drugovich, Verschoor etc…). Meanwhile, Théo Pourchaire had set the fastest second sector and could have potentially aimed for a top five. Unfortunately, the Japanese driver’s accident shattered his chances of achieving a good lap time.

At the end of the session, Théo Pourchaire was fourteenth. However, he was actually twelfth before the Japanese driver’s crash.

Jack Doohan has therefore kept his best time and secures the pole position. Liam Lawson finishes second, ahead of Marcus Armstrong.

Here is the timing ranking before the yellow flag.
