The drivers penalized for the Italian Grand Prix

For the Italian Grand Prix, 7 drivers will be penalized at the start of the race. These drivers have changed certain parts on their cars a greater number of times than what is stated in the regulations.

7 drivers will be penalized during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The drivers did not receive the same penalties and some were given heavier sanctions than others.

Schumacher and Verstappen only received a 5-place penalty. The Dutchman replaced a few parts on his engine while Schumacher completely changed the gearbox.

Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz have received a 10-place grid penalty. Both drivers have changed parts on their engines. The Ferrari driver has also made some adjustments to his gearbox.

Bottas receives a 15-place penalty on the starting grid. He has changed engine parts. Some of these parts have been changed for the 6th and 7th time.

Hamilton and Tsunoda will start from the back of the grid. After his collision with Alonso at the Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton had to change his power unit which was heavily damaged. For the Japanese driver, it’s the same story. He is changing his engine for the 6th time this season.
