For several months, the arrival of Porsche in F1 as a partner of Red Bull was anticipated. However, this will not happen due to disputes in the negotiations between the two parties. Porsche announced it in a statement on its official website.

The two companies have now jointly concluded that these negotiations will no longer be pursued.

The two companies had initially agreed on a fair collaboration by going 50/50 in terms of engine construction, but also in terms of the team.

« The premise has always been that a partnership would be based on an equal footing, which would include not only an engine partnership, but also the team. »

Red Bull has decided to reverse its decision, not wanting to give in so much. The Austrian team wanted Porsche to follow their conditions and preferred that they only accompany them in the engine manufacturing.

Porsche wanted the initial agreements for equity of shares to be the final ones and thus formalize their entry into F1 for 2026.

The manufacturer still hints that Porsche’s arrival in F1 is not over and it is possible that they may partner with another company to participate in F1.

With the finalized rule changes, the racing series remains nevertheless an attractive environment for Porsche, which will continue to be monitored.
