Dutch Grand Prix – Free Practice 2: Ferrari on top, Verstappen far behind!
The start of the second free practice session was delayed due to red flags during the F2 qualifying session. It took place at 4:15 PM instead of 4 PM. The Ferraris showed up in this session by taking the first two places.

The second practice session lived up to its promises after an initial one that set the tone for the rest. The drivers were faster and set better times overall.
The teams have adopted the same strategy as in the first session with the red tires on the hard compound. These tires seem to work well for the circuit and should be used for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
Leclerc set the fastest time ahead of his teammate Sainz. He went from 6th place in free practice 1 to pole position in the second session. Hamilton completes the podium.
Verstappen was able to start this session after the repair of his gearbox. However, this did not allow him to stand out in front of his home crowd. He finished 8th, far behind the leaders.
Ricciardo was forced to stop with 20 minutes remaining. A cooling issue occurred with his car. It was impossible to repair at the time and therefore continue.
Tsunoda went off track and landed in the gravel trap. He failed to free himself, which caused a red flag and the end of the session for him.
Great session for Alpine and McLaren as their drivers make it into the top 10. McLaren managed to secure the 4th and 10th positions despite Ricciardo’s retirement. Alpine, on their part, finished 7th and 9th.
A great duel is expected between the two teams fighting for the 4th position in the constructors’ championship. The drivers will have to confirm tomorrow during the third free practice session and during qualifying.
