The FIA Motorsport Games in Marseille
The FIA Motorsport Games will take place in Marseille from October 26th to 30th. For this occasion, the FIA will partner with the leading racing simulation hardware manufacturer, Fanatec, to provide e-sport competition equipment for the upcoming events.

The FIA Motorsport Games will have Marseille as the host city, but the races will take place in different locations. The three main venues will be the Paul-Ricard circuit for the track activities, Sainte-Baume for the rally specials, and Veynes for the rallycross.
The participating countries will have the mission to create a national team and select a single driver for each discipline. The ultimate goal is to win the team trophy, but regional rankings will allow countries to compete against each other by continents. At the end of each event, drivers will be rewarded with gold, silver, and bronze medals.
In parallel, a partnership with Fanatec was announced to oversee the esports competition. The brand will become the exclusive hardware partner for the Esports discipline, which will be contested on a custom-built virtual rendition of the Circuit Paul Ricard track.
As part of one of the 17 disciplines comprising the FIA Motorsport Games 2022, esports is the place where players representing each National Sporting Authority (ASN) of the FIA will compete against each other.
The president of the FIA Esports Commission, Mr. Niroshan Pereira, declares: We are delighted to welcome Fanatec as a major partner of the competition within the framework of the FIA Motorsport Games 2022. Fanatec is highly regarded in the industry for being at the forefront of motor racing simulation hardware. Having them on board for this competition is fantastic.
All stages of Esports competitions will use Fanatec equipment, including cockpits, pedals, steering wheels, and stands. The drivers will enjoy an incredible realistic racing experience.
“We are proud to continue expanding our development worldwide. The fact that the FIA trusts us to deliver our equipment shows how much progress we have made in getting closer and closer to the racing simulation of traditional motorsport,” said Thomas Jackermeier, president of Fanatec.
The 2022 competition will use the world-renowned platform Assetto Corsa Competizione with racers competing in virtual GT3 cars – digital versions of the same cars that will compete in GT, GT Sprint, and Endurance disciplines during the event.
The competition in the Esports discipline will begin on Thursday, October 27th, and the final will take place on Saturday, October 29th, in the evening. This event is expected to have the highest number of registrations across all disciplines during the second edition of the Games.
