In order to prevent inappropriate behavior from some spectators, the organization of the Belgian Grand Prix has decided to ban alcohol and smoke bombs for the event that will mark the return of Formula 1 next weekend.

After four well-deserved weeks off, Formula 1 resumes this weekend with the Belgian Grand Prix on the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit. One year after the fiasco of a race that lasted only three laps, the Walloon event is determined to make up for those mishaps and provide an unforgettable spectacle for all the spectators who will flock to the Ardennes region.

For several races now, the behavior of certain fans has been criticized. This was notably the case during the Austrian Grand Prix, where incidents of racism, sexual harassment, and sexism were reported. In order to prevent such behavior from happening again, the organizers of the Belgian Grand Prix have decided to take action by posting a message on their Instagram account.

In this one, we can read: « You are the key to a successful Grand Prix! Just follow the rules on-site and enjoy doing it.

Instructions that, hopefully, will be followed by the few 100,000 fans expected each day this weekend on the slopes of the Ardennes slide.
