Pole position for Ayumu Iwasa, who clinches his first pole position in Formula 2! Marcus Armstrong secures the second fastest time. Felipe Drugovich takes the third spot, just ahead of Théo Pourchaire.

The sun is setting over the Hungaroring circuit. During his last timed lap, Dams’ Japanese driver Ayumu Iwasa secures pole position.
On the Castellet circuit, the Japanese driver missed the pole position by six thousandths.
Today, no contestation. Dams driver achieves the best time in 1.27.930 ahead of Marcus Armstrong (+0.381)!
Felipe Drugovich, the championship leader, signs the third fastest time (+0.410). He edges just ahead of the Frenchman Théo Pourchaire by 19 hundredths of a second. Logan Sargeant, third in the overall standings, is right behind (+0.451).
Jack Doohan, in tenth place, will start from pole position tomorrow for the sprint race.
