Verstappen needs between three and five victories to become champion, according to Marko
Winner on the Paul Ricard circuit, Max Verstappen claimed his seventh victory in twelve races this season. A performance that brings him closer to a second world championship title according to Helmut Marko.

Max Verstappen made a strong statement in France. In addition to winning the race, he extends his lead in the championship over his rivals by now distancing Charles Leclerc by 63 points. According to Helmut Marko, the sports director of the Red Bull team, his driver would need ten or twelve victories to be crowned champion this season.
« Max’s seven victories so far are not enough. We want to be back at the front in Budapest. I think we need to win between ten and twelve races to have a chance of winning the championship. »
According to the Austrian leader, the Dutch driver would therefore only need to win at least three of the remaining ten races in this championship to once again add his name to the F1 record. A performance that seems well within the capabilities of Marko’s protege.
