Hamilton, second: “I didn’t want to let go of anything”
Second in the French Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton perfectly succeeded in his 300th career Grand Prix. The Briton was enjoying Mercedes' magnificent overall result in Le Castellet.

And it’s 4! Fourth consecutive podium for Lewis Hamilton in France. The Briton was very satisfied with his second place finish, but he hopes for a little more from Mercedes to be able to compete for victories.
« I didn’t want to give up anything in front of this amazing crowd. It was a tough race because my drinking button wasn’t working. What a great result, especially considering we were far from those guys all weekend. Reliability is something my team excels in, so a big thanks to them. George also did an incredible job today » savor the seven-time world champion.
« I can’t wait to be in Budapest. It will be challenging to keep up with Red Bull and Ferrari’s pace. We still have work to do, but I hope we can bring some updates quickly to make a breakthrough. We already saw some improvements today, so I hope we’ll manage to get closer to them,” Hamilton continued.
The Briton stands in sixth place in the championship with 137 points, sixteen units behind his teammate George Russell, who is third at Le Castellet.
