Ricciardo stated that he will remain in Formula 1 in 2023
Ricciardo announced on social media that he will continue the adventure with McLaren in 2023.
Daniel Ricciardo, under contract until 2023, is in a very delicate situation within his team. The Australian’s results are not up to par, and his place is highly coveted in the paddock. Rumors are circulating about the name of Ricciardo’s replacement for 2023, assuming that the Australian’s contract is terminated at the end of the year.
However, it seems that Ricciardo has not yet had his last word. The former Red Bull driver wants to persevere at McLaren despite poor results. The Australian is currently 12th in the drivers’ standings and has only scored points on 3 occasions this season.

Many names are being mentioned to replace Daniel Ricciardo. Oscar Piastri is said to be the favorite according to Mark Webber, his manager. The names of Pato O’Ward and Colton Herta are also frequently mentioned. The signing of Axel Palou by McLaren Racing this morning further complicates the equation.
