George Russell’s abandonment brings an end to a great streak
George Russell was forced to retire at Silverstone, putting an end to a great streak.

Mercedes may not be up to the level of previous years, but George Russell knows how to extract the maximum from his W13. The rookie driver in the German team is the only driver who has managed to consistently finish in the Top 5 in 2022, while also accumulating three podium finishes.
Unfortunately, the incident in the first round caused by George Russell forced him to retire in the first round, depriving him of an opportunity to continue his impressive streak. This is also the first retirement for Mercedes since the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix.
First of all, the most important thing is that Zhou is ok. That was a scary incident and all credit to the marshals and medical team for their quick response.
Obviously gutted to end the race this way and I'm sorry for the team and the fans. Cheering LH on from the garage. 👊
