Hamilton sees progress despite a lot of setbacks
After the second practice session, Hamilton is happy with his Friday, despite being shaken.

Lewis Hamilton finished his Friday with the second best time of the day, just behind Carlos Sainz by only 2 tenths. The Silverstone star, however, once again faced a lot of bumps.
The W13 has received numerous improvements for the British Grand Prix, but the bounces are still present, especially in high-speed corners.
“The car continues to bounce a lot, not necessarily in straight lines, but in turns, they are violent,” explained the British driver at the end of the session. “Not physically violent, but on the car, the tires, everything else. So we still have work to do. We’ve taken a few steps forward, but we still need to keep progressing.”
According to him, the difference in car performance is difficult to assess compared to Canada as the tracks are so different, but Hamilton is optimistic for the rest of the weekend: « The track here is smoother, gentler, much better, like Barcelona, but it remains the best circuit to drive on, it is epic and exhilarating, and we’re having a little bit of a struggle with the car. Our race pace is not as good as the guys ahead, but we’re not far off.
