2022 could be Latifi’s last season in F1
The third season of Nicholas Latifi as a full-time Formula 1 driver may be his last. That's at least what the main person involved has acknowledged himself.

Arriving in Formula 1 in 2020, Nicholas Latifi has so far been unable to raise his game. Whether it be during his two seasons alongside current Mercedes driver George Russell or his new teammate Alexander Albon, the Canadian has not been able to surpass his garage neighbor.
For several months, rumors have been growing about his possible replacement at Williams. As the British Grand Prix, the tenth race of the season, starts this weekend, Latifi admits that his situation within the Grove team is complicated: “If I look at my performances this year, it is quite possible that I may not be able to drive in Formula 1 next year. But there is also a good chance that I will drive for Williams next season.”
Furthermore, the current last-place team in the championship doesn’t pay attention to the rumors that send him out of F1 after every race weekend: « Rumors and criticisms are part of the game. If I believed everything that was written, my season would have ended after Montreal. »
In any case, Latifi’s future could well be decided in the coming weeks or even in the next few days. An interview between the driver of car number 6 and his boss Jost Capito is indeed scheduled on this matter at Silverstone this weekend.
