The month of July will be decisive in determining the champion driver of the 2022 world championship
The mid-season is fast approaching, and the month of July will be the busiest of the year, and perhaps the most decisive.

With four Grand Prix in one month, July will be the busiest month of the calendar and will prove to be a physical and mental challenge for all Formula 1 participants. It may turn out to be a decisive turning point of this 2022 season.
With a 49-point gap between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, the balance definitely seems to heavily favor the Dutch driver. However, Charles Leclerc remains optimistic, as he originally had a 46-point lead over his championship rival.
He believes that July will be a decisive month, but let’s first focus on this weekend, it needs to be perfect. We will see how it goes, but the car has the potential to give us hope. The next four races will be important, but we need to focus on ourselves and the rest will come naturally.
Reliability has not been on the side of the Monegasque in the recent races, but Charles Leclerc remains hopeful. Pushing the car to its limits is what needs to be done if one wants to hope to win the championship, but in the last 4 or 5 races, it has become much harder. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, I still believe as much as I did 5 races ago.
Verstappen still fears the Ferraris.
Despite his comfortable lead in the championship, Max Verstappen remains wary of a strong comeback from the Scuderia. « We have a lot of points ahead, but it was also the case last year. So many things happened in the first 9 races of the season, with many retirements. First, I was very far behind, and now I’m the one far ahead. »
« They are always very fast, and in Canada it was decided in the final lap so they are extremely competitive. It will certainly be the case also in Silverstone and the upcoming races. »
Helmut Marko also added, “Last year we had a good points cushion before Silverstone, but after Budapest all that lead had disappeared, anything can happen so quickly.”
