Alpine will have new improvements at Silverstone
Alpine should bring a new floor to Silverstone. This will be the sixth upgrade in ten races for the French team.

The Viry-Châtillon factory is not resting: Alpine will bring its sixth evolution to the A522 in just ten races. The French team is expected to change its floor once again in an attempt to take fourth place in the constructors’ standings from McLaren.
Alpine has been implementing a development strategy since the beginning of the season, which consists of introducing new parts as soon as they are ready, while others prefer to implement a new package of several updates at a less regular interval. Alan Permane, Alpine’s sporting director, emphasizes that the improvements will arrive when the parts are ready, and that the team is working on it 24/7.
However, the British knows that his team will not be the only one relying on Silverstone to bring improvements. Many people will show up with upgrades at Silverstone. In the end, it’s probably enough to stay afloat, explains Permane.
For the moment, the Alpine A522 has proven to be formidable on the track with a very high top speed, making it almost impossible to overtake in Baku and Montreal. Despite a complicated start to the season with a fair share of bad luck for Fernando Alonso (2 points after five races), the French team has regained momentum with three double points finishes in the last four races.
While McLaren is still struggling to understand their MCL36, Alpine is now only 8 points behind in the constructors’ standings. The battle for fourth place promises to be tight until the end.
