In 6th place, Mick Schumacher was finally able to score his first points in Formula 1, but at the 18th lap, his Ferrari engine fails and the German is forced to retire while he was in 7th place. A highly frustrating situation for him, as he had achieved his best career qualifying result the day before. Despite this disappointment, Mick Schumacher takes away the positive aspects of this weekend.

Schumacher stated following his retirement: “Obviously, it’s extremely frustrating, but these things happen. It’s Formula 1, everything is on the edge. So we just have to swallow the pill. There are many positive things we can take from this race. We haven’t made any progress, it’s practically the same car as at the beginning of the season, so we’re doing well. It’s extremely positive.”

The German driver remains optimistic for the rest of his season: “Maybe my luck will turn, I hope so. It’s very difficult, but I have had similar seasons in the past and we still managed to win (in F2/F3, editor’s note), we still have some races left, so I’m confident that new opportunities will arise.”

Mick Schumacher is having a difficult start to the season at Haas, with two big crashes and a lack of performance compared to his teammate. He needs to hope for better opportunities ahead.
