For Rosberg, Sainz doesn’t have what it takes to become a champion
For Nico Rosberg, something crucial is missing in Sainz's title race.

Struggling in comparison to his teammate Charles Leclerc, and facing difficulties in many areas, Sainz’s start to the season is not in line with last year. Consistently beaten in qualifying and races by his teammate, Sainz would already have given up on his dream of a world title this year.
On Sky Sports F1’s microphone, the former 2016 World Champion explains Sainz’s problem: « He has what it takes to be a good, even average driver at Ferrari, but for now, he lacks a lot to hope for becoming World Champion in the near future. »
In terms of performance, Charles has surpassed him on every weekend this season. He still needs to make some progress this year, which is a bit surprising considering his last season. Of course, the car is completely different, maybe he needs more time to adapt to it.
Currently 5th, and far behind Leclerc, Sainz is still in search of his first pole position and first victory. The Spanish driver’s adventure in red seems to have taken a wrong turn, but his experience will undoubtedly help him come back into the race.
