What an incredible race we had today in Formula 2 once again.

No trouble at the start, Juri Vips stayed in the lead of the race after the first corner. The first Safety Car was deployed following the collision between Amaury Cordeel and Oli Caldwell.

The pit stops started after the safety car restart.

A second Safety Car is out following the collision between Roy Nissany and Cem Bolukbasi.

Once again, like yesterday during the sprint race, the restart doesn’t go well. The two Hitech cars of Juri Vips and Marcus Armstrong collide, while at the back of the pack, there’s some confusion with the ART cars of Frederik Vesti and Théo Pourchaire, as well as Ralph Boschung and Ayumu Iwasa. The French driver breaks his front wing and has to go through the pits again for a second time. Marcus Armstrong and Liam Lawson also have to go through the pits again.

Juri Vips takes off in the lead… Unfortunately, due to overconfidence, he hit the castle ascent… Retirement for the Estonian who could have made a good move in the championship.

The race ended under the Safety Car, Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger secures his second win in two meetings (after his victory in the sprint race in Monaco). Another rookie, Logan Sargeant, finishes second on his Carlin. Felipe Drugovich completes the podium. The Brazilian further increases his lead in the championship over Theo Pourchaire, who finishes in eleventh place.

Clément Novalak had to retire due to a mechanical problem.

See you in three weeks at Silverstone with the presence of Formula 3.
