Alpine should be present next year at Le Mans
The French team should race again at Le Mans next year, but not in the hypercar category.
The Alpine team spent a long time in LMP2 before making the jump to the larger category, the hypercar, last year. After a third place finish in 2021, the French team is once again here this year and has a chance to make an impact after a very impressive hyperpole session where pole position was within reach.
While next year a wave of manufacturers is expected, including Porsche, Alpine should not be part of it when it comes to the top category. In 2023, we will be there, we will play something, not with this car and not in this category,” said Philippe Sinault, the team principal of Alpine.
So it is in another category that the French team will be involved, but for now no information has been revealed by the Blues. The plan is not yet determined and it is easy to imagine. It is not yet well structured, but our goal is to be there on the starting grid.
