Tsunoda doesn’t trust the FIA!
Yuki Tsunoda expressed his criticism of the FIA. The Japanese driver declared that he didn't have confidence in the FIA and found their decisions often inconsistent.

Before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the FIA clarified two rules, regarding the restart of the safety car and crossing the white line at the pit lane exit. A clarification on two rules that Yuki Tsunoda surely must have appreciated considering his recent statements.
The Japanese driver is one of the three drivers who only have five out of twelve points left on their license. With already four reprimands received in seven races, Tsunoda strongly criticizes the FIA. « I don’t trust the FIA. Every time it’s super inconsistent. I already have four reprimands, and the last one in Monaco, I still don’t know why. »
« I mean, it’s not right to say what other drivers have done, but other drivers have done worse things and they haven’t even been investigated, while in other races, the FIA suddenly became strict or something like that, » the 22-year-old driver criticizes.
Tsunoda acknowledges that the change in race direction, from Michael Masi to Eduardo Freitas and Niels Wittich, has also changed the approach of the FIA. It’s a completely different style of race direction. I’m not saying only negative things, because it’s also a good thing that they are trying to make it consistent and be as fair as possible with all the teams.
« For example, the track limits with the white line are clearer. But many things, other things, a race incident or traffic management and all these things, I think Michael Masi had more experience in if I compare. I need more time to get used to it or gain more experience to have good data in order to establish the right rules. Until then, I just have to survive to avoid receiving penalties, » concludes Tsunoda.
With only five points left on his license, Yuki Tsunoda will have to be careful and behave well on the track. If he reaches zero points on his license, the Japanese driver, or any other driver, would be suspended for one race.
