His accident in 2019, in Macao, did not stop his desire to win and shine. After a few stints in Formula 4, Formula 3, and DTM, the 21-year-old young driver is now engaged in endurance racing with Algarve Pro Racing (APR).

After two seasons with the Richard Mille Racing Team, the German driver has joined the team founded in 2010. With the Portuguese team, she would like to reach the podium for her third participation.

The goal is to make it to the podium in the LMP2 category here. It’s a 24-hour race and anything can happen, we are never safe. “We’ll do everything we can to achieve it,” she said.

If the former Formula 3 driver manages to achieve her goal, she would become the first woman to step onto the podium of the most legendary endurance race. « It is always great to make history. It would be a special sensation. »

For the first time, the young driver is present in Sarthe with two men as teammates, a situation that doesn’t bother her but could work to her advantage. « I had a great time with my former team, and I am very grateful for that. Being part of a team entirely made up of girls is great, but the competition is so tough », said the one who has stood on the podium twice in the European Le Mans Series with APR.

With three girls, it’s difficult to perform, that’s why I’m here (in the APR team). There are more chances with a mixed team.

During the test day, Algarve Pro Racing finished with the 19th fastest time in the LMP2 category, and the 24th overall with a time of 3’34”440.
